‘Limitless’ on top

It’s yet another week with three debutants sitting pretty on top of the UK Box Office. Bradley Cooper’s new movie Limitless stormed to the top of the tree of the UK box office collecting a shade over £2m on its opening weekend.
As is the recent trend, no top trio is complete without an animated motion picture. In second spot to the thriller, is A Turtle’s Tale with a kitty of £1.12m and Channing Tatum’s The Eagle with a total gross of £1.03m rounds up the top three.

Last week’s top flick Rango falls to number four, while Liam Neeson starrer Unknown completes the top five.
In its 12th week on the charts The King’s Speech is out of the top ten. The British movie has grossed in excess of £44m on the domestic box office.
Despite a very limited release and not making it to the top 10 Cave of Forgotten Dreams opened with the second largest screen average of any film out. It grossed over £3000 per screen grossing over £100K off its 23 screens.
Felicity Jones and Bill Nighly starrer Chalet Girl dropped four places to eighth, with The Lincoln Lawyer also down four, to number nine.
Owen Wilson’s Hall Pass was down at 10 from six.
